Henry J. Stern Collection
The Henry J. Stern Collection documents the history of Opelika and Lee County, Alabama, through subject files assembled by Henry Julius Stern (1931 to 2014), a Holocaust survivor, longtime executive of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce, and the man many residents called "Mr. Opelika." The collection consists of 29 subject folders of mixed media in three boxes, with particular depth on Pepperell Manufacturing Company and the Pepperell mill village.

Jean Woodham Collection
Biographical and career materials, photographs, and correspondence documenting the Alabama-born sculptor Jean Woodham (1925-2021), a pioneer of welded metal sculpture whose work Whirlwind is installed at the Opelika Public Library. The collection includes a Silvermine Guild artist biography, a curriculum vitae, a 1998 New York Times review, photographs of Woodham's studio and of the sculpture Spinoff, and a 1977 letter from Woodham to the Azalea Garden Club of Opelika.

The Opelika Business Portrait Project documents the businesses of downtown Opelika, Alabama, through oral histories, photographs, business records, and ephemera gathered in partnership with the businesses themselves. The collection is organized with a series for each participating business and remains open and actively growing.

The Opelika Newspapers Collection contains 37,776 digitized issues of fourteen newspapers published in Opelika, Alabama, from October 1872 through December 2018.
