Scope and Contents

Samford's handwritten notes on index cards. For the 11:30 presentation, she presents "this bronze fountain sculpture called Whirlwind" to the City of Opelika on behalf of the Azalea Garden Club, noting the library was dedicated in September 1976. For the luncheon, she welcomes guests and quotes the "six impossible things before breakfast" exchange from Through the Looking-Glass, then recognizes guests by name and role, including Woodham's family and friends, city officials, Auburn faculty, and state arts council staff, and closes with a collect. A final card in red ink lists thanks to the architect, commissioners, library staff, city departments, Opelika Technical College, the Opelika Arts Association, Opelika Floral Co., and the Opelika-Auburn News. Cards are numbered 1 through 8; card 7 is not present.
