Bank of Korea one thousand won note. Serial number 1469461. Obverse shows the Confucian scholar Yi Hwang, known as Toegye, with his dates 1501-1570 printed beside the portrait; reverse shows a Korean architectural complex, probably Dosan Seowon, the academy associated with him. First issued August 1975.
